LSU sophomore Anthony Jennings will start at quarterback Saturday when the 13th ranked Tigers take on No.14 Wisconsin, a source confirmed on Saturday.

“I promise you we would play the one guy that would give us all the advantage.” -Coach Les Miles

Coach Les Miles has stated that both Jennings and freshman Brandon Harris will play in the Tiger season opener.

“Our team understand that we have talented quarterback,” Miles said earlier in the week. “But right now they have not separated themselves, and we are not certain. If we were certain then I promise you we would play the one guy that would give us all the advantage, but if two guys can give us greater advantage than one guy, then lets play two.”

Jennings was forced to play last season after star QB Zach Mettenberger injured his knee in the last game of the regular season.

However, the young sophomore struggled in his debut start in LSU’s victory over Iowa in the Outback Bowl, completing only 7 of 19 passes for 82 yards, with no touchdowns and an interception.
