NFL: Saints- Kenny Stills out season opener
New Orleans Saints receiver Kenny Stills was officially ruled out of Sunday’s opener against the Atlanta Falcons due to a lingering quad injury.
Stills was originally listed as questionable after being limited at practice this past week, but it wasn’t until the Saints arrived in Atlanta that he was downgraded to the injured list.
After the receiver had two setbacks over the summer due to the same quad strain, it makes sense the Saints would chose to play it safe on Sunday.
The Saints still have plenty of depth at the receiver position, after re-signing veteran receiver Robert Meachem on Wednesday. Also waiting in the wings at the receiver position are Marques Colston, Brandin Cooks, Joe Morgan, and Nick Toon on the active roster, and of course receiving tight end Jimmy Graham.
