The 2014 season ended for the New Orleans Saints over a week ago (and before that if you’re talking playoff hopes). Today at the Believer we’re going to grade out the offensive players. We’ll focus on players who started or contributed a significant amount of playing time during the 2014 season.

These posts typically end up quite lengthy, and in an effort to alleviate that we’re going to separate the gradings via sliders and grouping players by position. Make sure you check every slide for all the offensive grades, and I welcome your feedback. We’ll start here with the quarterbacks.

Starters:

B-. Drew Brees had what many would consider a down year for him, but he still managed to produce elite level stats and was the only Saint to make <a href=. QB. New Orleans Saints. DREW BREES

Reserves: (Players who saw limited snaps/playing time)

QB. New Orleans Saints. LUKE MCCOWN. Thankfully for Saints fans, Brees never sustained an injury that forced either McCown or Griffin to come in and see time. Due to this, neither are eligible to receive a grade.

See description of Luke McCown’s grade. Griffin is the candidate who is the most likely to return next season.. QB. New Orleans Saints. RYAN GRIFFIN
