Big Day in Baton Rouge: 2015 LSU Football Commitments

facebooktwitterreddit

We are tracking all of LSU’s Football commitments as they come in today and will be updating this page as we get new reports. Here is the current list of the 2015 recruiting class:

Early Enrollees (players already on campus taking classes at LSU):

CB Kevin Toliver– Enrolling early was a smart move that may help him move into the starting lineup as a freshman.

CB Jeremy Cutrer Like Tolliver he is a big strong superior athlete who can push for real playing time as a freshman. He initially signed with LSU 2 years ago but went the community college route before resigning with the Tigers.

RB David Ducre We still aren’t sure if he is a FB or RB, but with only 2 running backs on scholarship this spring and Connor Neighbors going to the NFL he is going to be at a position of need either way.

TE Hanner Shipley Big enough to play 3rd tackle on running plays, athletic enough to run routes, Shipley is a throwback TE of the old school who will be a great fit in LSU’s power running offense.

QB Justin McMillan He is the default 3rd string QB going into spring practice, and will get plenty of reps behind Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris.

Fansided National Signing Day Coverage

Today’s Commits (submitted official commitment):

WR Tyron Johnson The #2 ranked receiver in the nation and a 5-star recruit; a future NFL star in the making

OT Toby Weathersby A 4 Star athlete with ideal tackle size, the Jeff Grimes coaching hire pays off with this big time flip from the Texas Longhorns.

P Josh Growden He is a tall lanky Punter from Australia. Comparisons, anyone?

RB Nick Brossette Brosette is another in a very long line of NFL prospects to play RB at LSU.

LS Blake Ferguson Long snappers don’t excite fans but coaches who know just how valuable they are treasure them.

RB Derrius Guice There were fears that Guice, one of the top athletes in the country this year, was a shaky verbal who might flip at the last second. The paperwork is in, he’s officially a Tiger!

OT George Brown Jr. A 3 star recruit with good size who will have the opportunity under LSU’s trainers and Coach Grimes to develop into a steal.

DE Isaiah Washington The lean Edna Karr product comes in at a position of real need.

OT Maea Teuhema Listed as a tackle out of high school but will get a long look at guard, Teuhema is a centerpiece of one of the nations best classes of offensive linemen.

DE Arden Key A late push by Coach O helped bring in one of the top players in the nation. Cue Keke Mingo comparisons in 5…4…3…2..1……

OT Chidi Valentine-Okeke Did I mention that LSU has put together a stacked group of O-Linemen this recruiting class?

ATH Lanard Fournette Another Fournette from St. Aug? Yes, please!

OT Adrian Magee This Frankilnton La prospect is the 4th 4 star OT to sign with LSU today, to go along with one 5 star. The future of the line Coach Grimes is building looks very, very bright.

ATH Donte Jackson He is listed as an athlete but this 5 star recruit will likely be the next NFL receiver to come out of LSU. Won’t make anyone forget Odell Beckham Jr and Jarvis Landry but might remind us of them from time to time- he is that good.

ATH Derrick Dillon This big time flip from Florida has been rumored to be in the works for weeks, we can now confirm the rumors are confirmed and Dillon is a tiger!

CB Xavier Lewis Another 4 Star CB recruit for DBU.

WR Jazz Ferguson With a name like Jazz he had to stay home and play his college ball in Louisiana.

We Will Continue to update the list as more players turn in their official paperwork!
