You have to have role players and depth to win, but you have to have the playmakers to win big. Leonard Fournette is primed for a Heisman campaign. The receivers we just mentioned might be the most talented group in the country for that position.
The defensive backs ARE the most talented group in the country at their position, again.
Jamal Adams is auditioning for Top 10 draft pick status. Kevin Tolliver II looks as good as advertised so far. Expect to see big plays all over the field from this crew.
All in all, LSU fans have to feel good about their team after the spring game.
The talent is there, as always. The NFL wasn’t quite as greedy as it has been in recent years, so the depth is markedly better.
The team will have to play some regular season games before we can start talking college football playoffs, but right now they look like a team ready to move onward and upward, from last year’s 8-5 record…..
