Another “Bad Boy” Added To Saints List Of Draft Prospects

A few days ago our Editor for Big Easy Believer, Barry Hirstius; asked the question in an article if the New Orleans Saints should take a chance on 3 “bad boys” in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Well now you can add another “bad boy” to the list of possible Saints targets in the draft: former Louisiana State University cornerback Jalen Collins.

NFL Network’s Albert Breer tweeted out yesterday that the former Tiger failed “multiple drug tests” while at L.S.U.

This isn’t good for Collins since the draft is less than a week away and it could hurt his stock some since analysts like Mike Mayock think that he’s the #2 corner in this draft.

The New Orleans Saints visited with Collins during L.S.U.’s Pro Day and were “highly interested” in the lengthy defensive back according to Collins himself.

Saints secondary coach Wesley “Crime Dog” McGriff spent some time with him and Collins said McGriff told him he liked his size and his performance at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Several mock drafts have actually had Collins going to the Saints with their 31st pick in the draft with the Baltimore Ravens at #26 also in the mix.

The news of the failed drug test will likely cause Collins to slide some but not much and probably will still go in the second round.

NOLA.com columnist Jeff Duncan agreed with my view on Collins still going in the first view rounds and also brought up another good point that I thought I was in the minority in.
