Saints Season Tickets To Go Out On Tuesday, July 21st
Well it’s that time of year again that faithful New Orleans Saints season ticket holders like to call “early Christmas”.
On Tuesday July 21st, the Saints ticket office will begin the process of mailing out season tickets for the 2015-2016 season.
For many like myself, it seemed almost recently that we were getting that envelope in our boxes for last year.
Of course that’s probably because ticket holders and any Who Dat in general is trying to wipe the 2014 season from memory.
But this year’s package from Airline Drive holds a new hope of being opened as a revamped, simplified defense and an potentially explosive offense helmed by quarterback Drew Brees has many giddy at the thought.

My wife simply shakes her head when I rip open the package taking the glossy ticket book holder out and inhale deeply while saying, “Smells like victory!”
Ok, Robert Duvall sounds much cooler spouting that line and it really smells like ink but you get the joke.

Ticket holders are usually treated to a splashy design that changes every year on the front cover which I’ve known some to frame.
The ticket book from the 2010 season is a favorite of many since it has the Saints Super Bowl ring big and bold on the front cover.
The first stubs that season ticket holders will be using will be on August 22nd during a 6:30 p.m. CDT preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens followed by another preseason matchup on August 30th 3:00 p.m. CDT verses the Houston Texans.
After that, it will be a long wait until the next home game which is a regular season duel on September 20th at 12:00 p.m. CDT against their NFC South opponents, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The next few games will treat the home crowd to two prime-time matchups against two teams Saints fans are eager for the Black and Gold put a thrashing on.
On October 4th at 7:30 p.m. CDT the Dallas Cowboys will come to New Orleans followed by the Atlanta Falcons on October 15th at 7:25 p.m. CDT.
Both the Cowboys and Falcons put an embarrassing loss on the Saints the last time they faced each other.

The Cowboys didn’t allow the Saints to score until the third quarter during their September 28th game in AT&T Stadium which ended with the a 38-17 victory for Dallas.
The Falcons not only swept the Saints last season but embarrassed them at home on December 21st which ended with Falcons defensive end Osi Umenyiora returning a Brees fumble for a touchdown as time expired for a 30-14 rout.
The remaining home opponents along with their dates/times are:
–NY Giants, November 1st at 12:00 p.m. CDT
–Tennessee Titans, November 8th at 12:00 p.m. CDT
–Carolina Panthers, December 6th at 12:00 p.m. CDT
–Detroit Lions, December 21st at 7:30 p.m. CDT
–Jacksonville Jaguars, December 27th at 12:00 p.m. CDT
The two other games to draw interest will be against the Lions and the Panthers since both teams managed to crush the Saints spirit at the beginning and end of the season last year respectively.
The Lions pulled a comeback for the history books against the sloppy Saints while the Panthers snatched the life out of an already lifeless team in a 41-10 Carolina victory.
But just as the ticket books come in the mail next week fresh and new, so will the Saints chances for the season as well as the hopes of ticket holders plucking more money down for some different tickets at the end of the season — where they can hopefully see their team in the postseason.
