We all know the QB play has to improve and the first way to do that is to increase efficiency.
Anthony Jennings completed an abysmal 49% of his passes last year while still racking up a healthy 14.5 yards per catch average. For the passing game to work the completion percentages have to go up.
That means less high risk long passes and more high percentage short and intermediate passes. The Tight Ends need to step up big time to make this happen.
Desean Smith is the best receiver at the Tight End position.
Getting him more involved in the offense will lower the missed passes and keep the chains moving. Less punting, more scoring, and a better rested defense.
Getting production out of Desean Smith will be a leading sign the entire team has improved from an 8-5 kind of effort.
