Davison has been an absolute beast in camp showcasing his power as well as his speed for being a big body at 6-2, 309 lbs.
But his grade from PFF following his performance against the Ravens was anything less than flattering.
He ended up having the worst overall grade on defense at -4.0 after playing the seventh highest number of snaps at thirty-nine with nineteen of those spent in run support and the remaining twenty snaps spent rushing the passer.
His main weakness seemed to be against the run where he graded out the worst of his teammates at -2.1.
Davison did end up making some good plays and had only one penalty in his first outing but it was a doozy, being flagged for a face mask that extended a drive.
I’m not saying he would be cut, but Davison also has fellow rookies Kaleb Eulls and Tavaris Barnes who are gunning for a spot at defensive tackle as well.
Eulls actually graded out very well in both pass rush as well as run defense for the twenty-seven snaps he was on the field with one run stop in particular seeing him seemingly almost clothes-lining a Ravens running back.
Barnes likewise had a positive outing in the time he spent at right tackle during the game this past Thursday at a whopping forty-one snaps.
To stay afloat on the depth chart, Davison needs to have a comeback against the Patriots on Saturday.
