Les Miles clearly wanted to get his freshmen used to playing under the lights before the SEC schedule and was taking every opportunity to do so against McNeese State.
We have already mentioned Kevin Toliver II and Will Clapp getting the start and Donte Jackson getting early touches.
We saw a two back set on LSU’s only drive featuring both Nick Brossette and Derrius Guice.
Guice was targeted on a quick pass to the flat that was blown up when fellow freshman Jazz Ferguson missed his assigned block. Tyron Johnson also got in the game but wasn’t targeted.
Had the Game continued I am certain we would have seen more of Les Miles latest recruiting class. As it was, a large group of Tigers got to see action last night.
