The biggest problem with last years team was the passing game. Tigers QB’s completed only 50% of their passes for the season, a disastrous rate and play calling was a part of the problem.

    A missed blocking assignment killed the play before it started, leading to that third and long.

    Still, short passes like that work, and many pro teams use them as a staple of their offense.

    They aren’t always highlight reel worthy, but they can keep the chains moving and open up space in the running game…..
