The Obvious

-The usual suspects made the cuts as well as those who didn’t with what looks to be Max Unger, Terron Armstead, Zach Strief, Tim Lelito, and Jahri Evans as the “projected” starters.

-Bryce Harris was the aforementioned obvious cut as his name became associated with phrases like “(Fill in the blank) is sacked” or “got beat”.

My favorite has to come from WWLTV.com and Saints Happy Hour Podcast contributor Ralph Malbrough who called Harris a “turnstile in human form.”

-I included specialists here because the only real drama if you will came down to a single kick literally which Zach Hocker won after a neck and neck race all camp.

The Curious

-Andrus Peat saw playing time at right tackle in preseason as well as getting looks at guard during camp and it’s odd you’d draft a lineman with the 13th overall pick if you didn’t expect him to play immediately.

Payton has said they see Peat as a tackle and it’s been foreshadowed that he’d take Strief’s place eventually but rumors have swirled back and forth about about Strief moving to guard and putting Peat in his place to complete the Big Guy-Monte Carlo Shell game….we’ll see.
