LSU vs Mississippi State: Match-Ups To Watch

LSU fans figured to be looking at a 1-0 Tigers football team after the Labor Day holiday, after what was expected to be an easy win over in-state school McNeese State last Saturday Night.

What they got instead was a game that was cancelled due to severe lightning that persisted for several hours in the immediate vicinity of Tiger Stadium.
It marked LSU’s first cancellation of a football game since 1918, when World War I forced university officials to call off the entire season.
So now, LSU’s “season opener” will be this Saturday Night at 8:15 p.m. Central time at Starkville, Mississippi against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, which will also serve as the SEC opener for both teams as well.
That of course means that now we are only 4 days away from getting back to LSU Tigers football, and in that spirit I’ve zeroed in on the 4 matchups I think will determine victory in this game.
