Ever hear of Ito Smith? Miss. St. has, he ran for 8.6 yards per carry against them last Saturday. Southern Miss got most of their yards in the air but when they ran the lanes were open for business.
If Ito Smith can do that imagine what a heavy dose of Leonard Fournette with a side of Guice and Brossette should look like.
Miss. St. is breaking in a new defensive coordinator and a new system. Catching them early while they are still working out the kinks is to LSU’s advantage.
If Leonard Fournette gets plenty of work and takes advantage of the openings it could give LSU the edge it needs to win Saturday.
