A win is a win. The Tigers were dominant at times. They made some mistakes and let MSU get back in the game late but they were able to scrape out a tough SEC win on the road.

It bears mentioning that after missing the home opener LSU had no chance to work out the first game jitters. Many of tonight’s mistakes will be easy enough to work out with an extra week of practice.

Playing Auburn next should also help. They looked bad again this week, getting taken into overtime by tiny Jacksonville State.

LSU is loaded with talent and undefeated. That’s not a bad place to be. Still, the coaches need to figure out which O-Line they are playing, and find a way to make the D-Line rotation work.

They also need to find a way to pass the football consistently, the way they did in the first half tonight.

This is a team we knew going in was a national championship contender. After seeing them play for four quarters that still stands. There is a lot of work left though, and LSU needs to start improving now if they are going to survive an SEC schedule…..
