Dillon Gordon, a third year starter with only 6 career receptions is one of the most important players on LSU’s offense.

Normally a Tight End who doesn’t catch the ball is a forgotten man, but Gordon may be the best blocking Tight End in the country right now.

He missed the Syracuse game with an Achilles injury and in spite of Fournette’s great game overall it’s no coincidence that LSU’s ability to run the ball consistently was shaken a bit without Gordon in the lineup.

Dillon Gordon will never get the attention of a Jimmy Graham but he has a bright future in the NFL. On Monday Les Miles said he would be out this week but two days later he was upgraded to day to day.

Getting Gordon back will help the run game stay on track and help keep Fournette running towards the Heisman.
