Brandon Harris is improving steadily but most of the gains have come by throwing the deep ball. When that isn’t open instead of checking down to a receiver on a shorter pattern he generally checks down to himself and tries to make things happen with his feet.
Trey Quinn is the best short yardage possession type receiver on the team.
Seeing more passes thrown his way will indicate the Tigers offense is adding an extra layer between the deep ball and quarterback keepers on passing plays.
That extra offensive diversity could be the difference between keeping drives alive and punting away the football in tight games. A little more Try Quinn is a good thing.
