The Detroit Lions headline the group after going 11-5 last year and making it all the way to the Wild Card game in a 24-20 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

I was one who fully expected the Lions to pick right back up where they left off and possibly even improve in an NFC North division with the Green Bay Packers being their only competition.

Instead Detroit has fallen to a woeful 0-5 start and trails a 2-3 Chicago Bears team that appeared to be having a roster fire sale just a week ago.

The Lions were trounced 42-17 on Sunday by the Arizona Cardinals in a game where former first rounder Matthew Stafford was benched after throwing three interceptions and safety James Ihedigbo called the recent struggles “embarrassing”.

With two upcoming division games against the Bears and the Minnesota Vikings on the slate, the Lions are teetering on the edge of either clawing their way back (no pun intended) or utter collapse.
