On the AFC front the Miami Dolphins are headlining a team that is on the precipice of a turnaround or an unexpected rebuild of the organization.
Miami is already in a bind being in the AFC East division with the New England Patriots(4-0), but the Buffalo Bills(3-2) and New York Jets(3-1) have found unexpected success under new head coaches Rex Ryan and Todd Bowles respectively.
After going 8-8 the past two seasons the Dolphins fired head coach Joe Philbin and replaced him with tight ends coach Dan Campbell who also in turn fired defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle after he failed to get anything out of high priced free agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh or the defense as a whole.
Owner Stephen Ross is keeping the faith and still is hopeful that the team can make the playoffs although they sit at the bottom of the AFC East at 1-3 and are 0-2 in their division.
Campbell is said to be installing a new attitude overall and even implemented the “Oklahoma Drill” into practices hoping to toughen the team up.
Upcoming games against the Tennessee Titans and struggling Houston Texans could be the rebound the Dolphins are looking for or could also bounce them further down into the hole.
