Fans of the LSU Tigers came into the 2015 season with a lot of questions.

The quarterback position and the production that could be expected from Brandon Harris was the biggest but certainly not the only major area of concern.

The defense was coming off an uncharacteristically weak year and was breaking in a new coordinator to boot.

With the team coming off a 7-5 record and with the SEC West looking stronger than ever it was hard to predict what kind of success the Tigers could have this year.

Still, most Tiger fans knew basically what the team would look like.

Lots of running behind all world tailback Leonard Fournette. Growing pains but expected growth from QB Brandon Harris and the Tigers passing attack. And a solid defense anchored by yet another shockingly talented DBU secondary.

In many ways, the team preparing for a showdown match with Alabama for control of the SEC West is the one Tigers fans were HOPING for.

In many ways however — this is NOT the team that took the field against McNeese State on September 5th.

Surely NO ONE saw this team going into the Alabama game still undefeated and in the driver’s seat for a chance to play for the SEC Championship and a berth among the 4 teams that will play in the College Football Playoff to determine the National Champion.
