There were grumblings this weekend that Leonard Fournette was no longer the Heisman frontrunner.
Some said he was no longer even in the running.
This is nonsense.
Every Heisman winner has an off game, some have three or four.
Fournette’s numbers against Bama were bad, and on a very public stage, there is no denying that.
All Fournette needs to do to get right back in the Heisman race is reel off a couple of signature runs on his way to a big game. Heisman voters don’t blow any which way the wind changes.
Heisman voters look at a total season and Fournette is still on pace to have one for the ages.
