A quick look at Brandon Allen’s season stats would cause most LSU fans to grow concerned. After all he has hit right at 65% of his passes for 2476 yards with 21 touchdowns against only 5 interceptions.
That is an outstanding season by any measure–if you look at it as a full season.
A closer inspection shows a trend for Brandon Allen that should have Arkansas fans the worried ones going into this game. Brandon Harris does not show up against good defensive teams.
Sure, he’s been able to compile some impressive stats against the weaker teams on his schedule. He was only 15 of 32 for 176 yards against Alabama and 11 of 24 for 219 yards against Tennessee.
LSU has better cornerbacks and pass rushers than the Tide or the Volunteers. Expect Brandon Allen and the Arkansas aerial attack to have their wings clipped against the Tigers.
