According to NFL.com’s Chase Goodbread the New Orleans Saints scouting department will be in attendance for several big games this weekend:

The Saints have already been looking at Baylor with defensive end Shawn Oakman usually getting the most press for being a physical freak and offensive guard Spencer Drango anchoring the line with some upper round draft projections.

More from Big Easy Believer

Also one to watch from Baylor is wide receiver Corey Coleman who at 5-10, 190 pound has 58 receptions for 1,178 yards for 20 touchdowns in 2015.

For Oklahoma, linebacker Eric Striker is having a good 2015 season with 44 total tackles, with 11.5 for a loss, seven sacks, and an interception with his current sack total for the year being ranked at second overall in the Big 12.

The Sooners also have a wide receiver in Sterling Shepard to watch as the 5-10, 191 pound senior might surpass his 2014 season stats with 47 receptions for 826 yards and seven touchdowns.

Memphis vs. Houston

Yes New Orleans already drafted Garrett Grayson in the third round last year but they’ll do their due diligence with Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch who has 226 completions for over 3,000 yards and 19 touchdowns while only throwing two interceptions.

Lynch is currently in the top ten in the NCAA for passing yards, passing completion percentage, total yards, total yards per play, total touchdowns, and passing efficiency.

Houston’s cornerback William Jackson III is said to be an aggressive defender who has some good size at 6-1, 195 pounds.

He currently has 25 total tackles and three interceptions on the year with one being returned for a touchdown against Vanderbilt.

Jackson also is ranked third overall in the NCAA in passes defended with 14 total in 2015.

Arkansas vs. LSU

Hybrid LSU-Saints fans are once again happy at the thought of the Black and Gold visiting Death Valley in hopes of getting a Bayou Bengal on the squad…hey there’s Matt Flynn right?

There’s the usual suspects to watch for LSU this season such as offensive lineman Vadal Alexander and senior safety Jalen Mills but Arkansas has one that that the Saints should pay attention to.

Tight end Hunter Henry may only have one touchdown for the year but that’s not what should stand out for the 6-5, 253 pound junior.

Henry has helped the Razorbacks move the chains whenever he’s fought the ball with an average of 14.1 yards per reception the past three seasons.

Along with his pass catching ability Henry is said to show great blocking as well as toughness at the position.

North Carolina State vs. Florida State

NC State has a few prospects like defensive end Mike Rose to watch who is having one of the best season’s of his college career registering 31 total tackles with 13.5 for a loss, eight sacks, and one forced fumble.

Cornerback Juston Burris is a big corner at 6-1, 207 pounds and has 109 total career tackles with five for a loss, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and 15 passes defended.

The Seminoles also have a top defensive back to watch in Jalen Ramsey who scouts are debating if he serves better at cornerback or safety with his 6-1, 202 pound frame.

Ramsey had a great sophomore year in 2014 racking up 80 total tackles with 10 for a loss, three sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles, and 12 passes defended.

His junior year for this season hasn’t been as eye-popping as he has 37 total tackles with two for a loss, one sack, and eight passes defended which could lead him to return for his senior season depending on his draft grade heading into 2016…
