Jordan, who is currently ranked by Pro Football Focus as the top edge defender in the NFL, is the Saints best player on defense and he is one of the best defensive ends in the league.
Cam, who always seems to have good games against the Panthers, is a great player. When Cam is playing his best football, the whole Saints defense as a whole looks better.
Cam is one of the many this week who will have the tough task of trying to contain Cam Newton, and try to not let him get out of the pocket to make one of those highlight reel plays with his legs.
Sunday, I expect Jordan to come out on fire and spark this defensive line and defense as a whole in to playing a good game.
Cam will also try to help the Saints defense contain Carolinas run. The Panthers live off the run, and shutting down their run game greatly increases your chances of winning. Cam, who is one of the best defensive end against the run, will be up to the task.
If the Saints have any chance of winning Sunday, they’re gonna need Cam to show up and play his heart out.
Or else — it might be a long day for the Saints defense.
