Defensive End Danielle Hunter was drafted as a bit of a project by the NFC North division leading (8-3) Minnesota Vikings.
He didn’t exactly put up world beating stats at LSU, but like Kwon Alexander he had an incredible combine performance and the defensive minded Vikings grabbed him in the second round.
He has been playing more as the season progresses and he is starting to make some plays, including a sack against the Raiders and a quarterback pressure that led to an interception against the Falcons:
Hunter has been instrumental in helping turn head coach Mike Zimmer’s double-tough defensive unit into one of the NFC ‘s best; and will be headed to the NFL Playoffs next month.
