Class: Redshirt Senior

Height: 6’4

Weight: 300 lbs.

Pros:

Athletic

Solid All Around Blocker

Cons:

Strength

Westerman would come in and compete at guard right away with the Saints. With Jahri Evans more than likely gone next year, and I anticipate the Saints bringing in a guard through free agency that leaves one spot open.

Westerman is a very athletic guard who can pull very well and get to the second level of a defense. He doesn’t have the raw strength to constantly push defenders back off the line of scrimmage.

He is a solid pass blocker who has a good base. Sometimes his lack of strength can have him pushed back into the pocket, which is something he would have to work on.

With the Saints finding so many gems on the offensive line in late rounds, they potentially could find another here.
