I couldn’t leave out Barry when it comes to mocking who the Saints could pull the trigger on in the draft and you can find his full mock draft by clicking HERE to see all the selections.

I’ll simply focus on his first round pick which is someone who according to local draft analyst Mike Detillier is someone that the Saints have been actually scouting.

Versitile Oregon defensive lineman DeForest Buckner(6-7, 290 lbs.) is Barry’s choice to head to New Orleans with the 10th overall selection.

My take:  If the Saints were to select Buckner you won’t hear me complaining since he’s someone who you could plug in opposite Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan and cause some havoc.

Buckner could also be shifted to play defensive tackle as well; in a manner that Jordan has been used some this season and as Barry noted: I think he is “phenomenal” and could be the medicine needed to cure the Saints pass rushing woes.

Yes, I would love to see linebacker Jaylon Smith come to the Black and Gold; but as Barry noted, if they are picking at 10th overall he’ll likely be gone which leaves Buckner as an extremely palatable pick……
