A scheduling anomaly this year as the Saints will face the Buccaneers twice within a span of three weeks.
Tampa Bay QB Jameis Winston will be over half way through his sophomore season for this game. For the Buccaneers to have a successful season next year, Winston will need to not have a sophomore slump and continue to improve from last year.
Depending on how Winston plays next year will really depend on how this game goes. If Winston is playing at a high level, this will be a really tough game. If he is in a slump, the Saints could take this on easily.
Brees will need to put up good numbers and play clean football this week to win, and the defense will need to be able to hold Winston and co. at bay.
The Saints take this one after forcing Winston into crucial mistakes and improve on their win total from last year.
Prediction: Saints 24 Buccaneers 17
Record: 8-5
