The Giants spent a TON of money in Free Agency this year, signing DE Olivier Vernon and CB Janoris Jenkins to monster contracts. If both of those players live up to the price of those contracts, the Giants will be significantly better on defense.
I, personally, don’t think they will, though. Is Olivier Vernon really worth more than JJ Watt per year? I don’t think so. Janoris Jenkins is a hell of a player, but not a $12.5 million per year type of player.
If the Saints are going to have a chance at the NFC South Title this year, this is a game they need to win against an opponent who, like the Saints, has a lot of question marks around them.
If the Saints lose this game, it may mean another tough year for Saints fans. Fortunately I think they take this game and pick up their first win of the season.
Prediction: Saints 30, Giants 24
Record: 1-1
