The Saints and the Chargers are both teams going in to the 2016 season with question marks.

The Chargers got one of the top defensive prospects in Joey Bosa this draft. Joey Bosa has the tools to turn in to a special player in the NFL.

Melvin Gordon was somewhat of a disappointment last year for San Diego, and if he can improve he could really help the Chargers take a step forward.

I really think this will be a tough game for the Saints, and they will need to play a solid, mistake free game. CB Jason Verrett really came into his own last year, and he will be a tough match-up for Cooks.

In the end, I really can’t see Brees losing in his much-hyped “return” to San Diego. He will win the game single-handedly, if he has to.

Prediction: Saints 24, Chargers 21

Record: 3-1
