#3. Mark Ingram Should Carry the Load in 2016

I absolutely love Mark Ingram as a fantasy running back coming into this season. His grit and resilience running the football last year was one of the few bright spots.

He was on pace for his first 1,000 yard season as a pro before he was shut down for the last 4 games with his shoulder injury.

What stands out to me about Ingram is the strides he made catching the football. In 2014, Ingram had 29 catches for just 145 yards.

Last season, he had 50 catches for 405 yards. That’s an incredible leap and it looks like Ingram is on the cusp of becoming the workhorse the Saints drafted him to be.

He’s also tremendous in pass protection, which should keep him on the field more, and lead to more receiving opportunities.

There’s going to be a lot of hype around the likes of Ezekiel Elliott, Todd Gurley, Le’Veon Bell, and David Johnson this summer. Do your fantasy team a solid, and sit tight for Ingram as your RB 1.

You’ll wind up with top 10 running back production at the end of the season.  If you’re concerned about Ingram’s injury history, handcuff him with Tim Hightower.
