Nov. 5th vs. Alabama Crimson Tide (L)

Last year at this point in the season the Tigers were undefeated and had a date with Alabama the following week. Fast forward to early November, and Les Miles and his squad will likely face the very same situation.

Will the outcome be the same, too?

As it is, Nick Saban has owned LSU. I am literally gritting my teeth as I type it, but it is the truth.

Les Miles seems to fall apart when it comes to taking on the hated Tide. Saban seems to be in Miles’s head and out-coaches him at every point.

In last year’s matchup with Bama, Fournette had his worst game of the season and Harris couldn’t (or wouldn’t) throw the ball farther than 10 yards down the field to save his life. Let’s not even talk about Derek Henry running roughshod over the defense.

Ask around and everybody will tell you that this is the year for LSU to beat Bama because: who is their QB? Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart left town for Georgia and they lost half their defense to the NFL. LSU should win this year, right?

Unfortunately, the answer is still a resounding NO. I think LSU has the talent to win this game, I just won’t believe it until I see it.
