THE RUNNING BACK POSITION BATTLE WILL GO DOWN TO THE WIRE

2016 is not going to be any different, with six running backs on the roster and all six getting touches last night.

Each back was used in schemes and situations to utilize their skills, something Payton has done a very good job at, which highlighted moments like Mark Ingram punching in two touchdowns from a yard out, Daniel Lasco showing off some fancy spins moves, and Marcus Murphy’s big return (albeit on special teams) after muffing a punt.

Fellow backs Tim Hightower, C.J. Spiller, and Travaris Cadet had solid if not spectacular nights.

So who is the odd guy out?

Last nights number’s are as follows:

Ingram: 7 Car, 18 Yards, 2TDs

Hightower: 4 Car, 2 Yards

Spiller: 2 Car, 2 Yards

Lasco: 5 Car, 18 Yards / 3 Rec, 23 Yards

Cadet: 3 Car, 14 Yards / 1 Rec, 7 Yards

Murphy: 7 Car, 22 Yards / 3 Rec, 18 Yards /48 Yard Punt Return
