Final Analysis

In the first year of the Willie Fritz Era, Tulane finishes the season with 5 wins.

Fritz has won right away everywhere he has coached but faces what is likely the biggest challenge of his entire coaching career with Tulane.

The defense has potential, but the Green Wave has no experience at quarterback, no proven production on the offensive line, and a questionable receiving corps.

Look for a ground-based approach that tries to take advantage of the talented running backs while the quarterbacks make plays with their feet, and not their arms.

The bar has been raised by Fritz and the administration. Fritz needs to clear the bar quickly, or else Tulane will hit the reset button once again while remaining filled with a “Wave of optimism”……
