Saturday Sept 24th home vs UL Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns

Cajuns Are Ragin’

The 2015-2016 football season marked the first time in head coach Mark Hudspeth’s five-year tenure that ULL did not win nine games or play in the New Orleans Bowl.

The Ragin’ Cajuns will look to rebound from a 4-8 showing by leaning on its experience (14 returning starters). The Ragin’ Cajuns offense will lean heavily on versatile running back Elijah McGuire, he enters his senior campaign as the only active FBS player with at least 3,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards receiving.

Defensively the Ragin’ Cajuns return 7 starters and managed just 11 takeaways last year. The defense struggled mightily under first-year coordinator Melvin Smith, yielding at least 400 yards in all eight losses and at least 32 points in all but one.

This will be a hotly contested battle to the end, but the win goes to the Wave.

WIN, 2-2
