The Saints have completed their 3rd preseason game and are one step closer to the regular season opener vs. the Raiders on Sunday, September 11th.

Though, as we inch closer to the opener, others with be inching closer to packing their bags.

On this Tuesday, August 30th at 4 P.M Eastern time, the first round of roster cuts must be completed. Each NFL team must have no more than 75 men on the roster at that point (as we noted in our article yesterday looking at the players that will likely be cut tomorrow).

Then just four days later, the Saints 75-man roster will become the Final 53-man roster. That’s what then makes the true question become: which Saints players will be in the final 53?

Every year it seems the Saints make good on UDFA, late round picks, and even as of late some league veterans, and this year is no different, as the play of TommyLee Lewis, De.Vante Harris, and Ken Crawley have all impressed.

Though for UDFA’s like Crawley and Harris, the lingering question is: have they done enough to win a Final Roster spot?

We will find out for certain on this coming Saturday, September 3rd, but for now let’s take a quick look at my 2 part Final 53-Man Roster Projection, beginning with the 1st part — a look at the Saints offense.
