WIDE RECIEVERS: Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead IV, Michael Thomas, Brandon Coleman, Tommylee Lewis. (5)

Cooks and Snead are both coming off good seasons with the Saints. Snead was a pleasant surprise, coming in and being a consistent target for Drew Brees.

Meanwhile, Cooks struggled early but was on fire in the second half of the season for New Orleans. Both are “no-brainers” to make the team, and the other no-brainer is 2nd round pick Michael Thomas.

Thomas has thrilled Saints fans with catches like the one above all offseason long. He then ‘went off’ in his first preseason game, living up to all the hype of the preseason, but now the real question for this Saints receiving corps is: who rounds this group out?

After a very rough Preseason, I still believe that former Rutgers product Brandon Coleman makes this team. Last week I compared him to former Saints wide-out Nick Toon. Though I see more potential in Coleman and he did close the regular season well, and so I’m still giving him a spot in my projections. Well for now, anyway.

Finally, Tommylee Lewis has been nothing short of impressive so far in camp. The 5’7 168 pounds Wide-out from Northern Illinois caught the eye for Sean Payton’s mentor Bill Parcells, and it was Parcells urging Payton to give Tommylee a look.

His mixture of speed, quickness, and never quit mentality gives Payton another offensive weapon with endless possibilities.
