#7 DELVIN BREAUX, CORNERBACK
Arguably the defense’s best player, Breaux joined the team’s “MASH unit” in Week 1; going down with a broken leg against the Raiders.
With fellow cornerbacks PJ Williams and Damian Swann out for the year with injury, and veteran standout Keenan Lewis released in preseason; this is undoubtedly the Saints most injury ravaged position.
Journeyman Sterling Moore and UDFA rookie Ken Crawley have taken their lumps at times, to be sure; but have quite frankly performed pretty well.
Breaux’s return to the line-up will give the Saints an elite “shut down” cover corner, thus allowing the team to scheme accordingly and better cover up areas weakness.
