THE BAD: BRANDIN COOKS GOES MISSING IN ACTION
Make no mistake about it, Cooks is one of the most talented wide receivers in the league, and opposing defenses are indeed scared of how his skill set can influence a game.
At the moment, however, Cooks is NOT among the “best” receivers in the league. He simply isn’t consistent enough.
Cooks was held without a single catch in this game, and was only targeted 3 times. Cooks has been held completely in check by opposing defenses for over a month, and if not for a spectacular touchdown catch against Denver, would be a complete non-factor.
It’s obvious that defenses are concentrating their coverage packages against Cooks, but as the saying goes: “great players make great plays”.
