Andrus Peat, Left Tackle / Guard
Whether its at right tackle (the position he was actualy drafted to play), right guard, left guard, or left tackle; Peat has played reasonably well for the Saints offensive line this season.
Last year’s #1 draft pick has been penciled in as the starting left guard, but because of Terron Armstead’s injury woes he has often had to slide over into the left tackle position.
Even with the uncertainty of his position, Peat is beginning to develop into a solid lineman for this team, temporarily putting to rest talk of him being a “draft bust”.
The Lions do not have nearly the talent along their front seven as have the Saints’ last three opponents (Rams, Panthers and Broncos), but New Orleans’ offensive success will be dependent on continued solid play from this line and Peat especially.
