Sterling Moore, Cornerback

The former Buccaneer is now the de facto number one cornerback for a Saints defense that has been decimated by injuries this season, especially in their secondary.

Although it seems unlikely he’ll play, Delvin Breaux is technically questionable for this game with a shoulder injury, suffered in the 3rd quarter of the team’s game against Tampa Bay 2 weeks ago.

Moore has done a solid job for New Orleans most of the season, and was instrumental in containing Buccaneers star wideout Mike Evans in their last meeting; holding him to 4 catches for only 42 yards.

Assuming Breaux doesn’t play, it will become even more important for the Saints to get heavy pressure on Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston to alleviate the deficiencies in their beat up secondary.

This pressure will be led by a team leader who might have a chip on his shoulder as he enters this contest…
