A PREDICTION FOR TODAY’S GAME AGAINST THE BUCCANEERS AT THE SUPERDOME
An analysis of the two squads has not changed much in the two weeks since these teams last met.
This time around, I believe that Sean Payton will have an extremely aggressive offensive game plan, especially utilizing Brees’ weapons down the field.
Look for Michael Thomas and Mark Ingram to both have big days with some big hookups to Brandin Cooks in the mix.
Defensively, with Delvin Breaux’s season now officially ended, Dennis Allen will “bring the house” against Tampa QB Jameis Winston in an effort to mask the talent deficiencies in their secondary.
This game will be remarkably similar to last week’s shootout in the Arizona desert, but one of these teams simply have more weapons than the other.
So — on the Eleventh day of Christmas, my Saints gave to me — a 38-34 victory over Tampa Bay to keep their slim Playoff hopes alive, even if it’s only for one more day.
Which brings us to our 12th and final wish for our Saints Christmas this year……..
