Saints tight end Coby Fleener and running back Mark Ingram vs Falcons LB Deion Jones and Safety Keanu Neal

Jones was an absolute terror for the Saints in that Monday night tilt; finishing with 8 tackles, and an interception of Brees returned for a game clinching 4th quarter touchdown.

Jones (102), and safety Keanu Neal (101) are the teams leading tacklers, and Atlanta’s defensive scheme is designed to let the athletic Jones roam the field.

Ingram is only 60 yards away from his first career 1,000 yard rushing season, and the first Saints player to do it since Deuce McAllister in 2006.

Fleener has largely been viewed as a free agent disappointment this year, only producing 47 catches for less than 600 yards and 3 touchdowns since signing on from Indianapolis. Fleener’s biggest game of the year came in — yep, you guessed it — Week #3 against these Falcons.

Fleener dominated Atlanta coverages with 7 receptions for 109 yards and a score that evening, as WR Brandin Cooks was contained by the Atlanta cornerbacks (only 2 catches for 13yards).

Ingram should be able to have a productive rushing day, but his and Fleener’s ability to keep Deion Jones and Keanu Neal occupied will spread a porous Falcons pass defense thin and allow the opportunity for big plays.

Big plays has been a staple of this unpredictable rivalry, so our last match up is very simple….
