The New Orleans Saints’ 50th NFL season ended with a loud thud against the Atlanta Falcons this past Sunday. Despite a furious 19-point 4th quarter comeback, the Saints lost 38-32 in a game that was sort of a microcosm of the entire 2016 season: falling behind early, only to rally yet fall agonizingly short of their goal.
Despite a third consecutive (7-9) finish to their season, New Orleans did show some signs that point to a potentially bright 2017.
Over the next week, the Big Easy Believer will recap the 2016 season in different articles, as the team prepares to continue building upon a young roster with Free Agency and the NFL Draft.
