2. The offensive tempo and playmakers are must-watch

Circling back to Lonzo Ball, he has often gotten underrated by most NBA fans because of his father’s persistence that he is the greatest point guard in the league and also because of his quirky and inefficient jump shot.

What people are ignoring is that Lonzo Ball is a player that is capable of being an All-Defensive member in the very near future, is one of the best rebounding point guards in the entire league and is someone that knows how to dictate the pace of play and run an offense.

Just look at the impact he had on the Los Angeles Lakers. In his first season with the Lakers, the team became the second-highest paced team in the league (trailing just the Pelicans). Ball showed a lot of promise but could not build on that last year, as LeBron was brought in to be the primary playmaker.

With Ball on the roster, whether on the bench or the starting five, there is going to be an even higher pace of play then already existed. But it’s not going to just be quick, it is going to be fun. Think about all of the players that the Pelicans have that just play a fun style of basketball.

Zion is obviously who he is and is going to be a menace in transition and is probably going to find ESPN’s Top 10 list a countless number of times. Brandon Ingram can be an elite scorer and showed signs of that and is going to have heat checks during the year where he looks inhuman.

Jrue Holiday is a 20-7 guy that can score with the best of them and will create a fun backcourt, whether it is alongside Redick or Ball.

J.J. Redick is a light out shooter that is going to be able to be an off-ball headache and hit the occasional energy-draining three in transition. Josh Hart is a capable bench piece, Derrick Favors is a pick and roll maestro, even Jaxson Hayes could join in on the fun.

The Pelicans can do a lot offensively and have so many different styles of players on the roster. How many teams can say they have that?
