The New Orleans open the 2019 season against the Houston Texans and have three players that will make all the difference in Week 1.

The New Orleans Saints have a tough slate of games to begin their 2019 season. The first four games of the season are all against playoff teams, which is not necessarily the way you want to start the football season.

The one caveat is that the Saints get to start the season at home as they will host the Houston Texans in Week 1. The Texans were the league’s hottest team for a stretch of last season but could not win a playoff game, dropping the Wild Card Round matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

While the Texans did not go nearly as far as the Saints did last season, they absolutely are a threat to steal this game from New Orleans, even after trading Jadaveon Clowney. The Texans have one of the most entertaining quarterbacks in the league in DeShaun Watson, who has one of the best receivers in the league to throw to in DeAndre Hopkins.

Chances are that this is going to be a high-scoring showdown between two of the most exciting offenses in the NFL. When you have two teams of this caliber squaring off against each other, the difference really can be certain players, on either side.

With that in mind, we decided to pick out the three most important players for the New Orleans Saints in Week 1. These aren’t your traditional players either, as Drew Brees is obviously always immensely important. You get what I mean.
