The Tampa Bay Buccaneers can be a frisky team, but Jameis Winston will hold them back
In terms of the complete picture of their game on Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers actually played pretty solid and were much better than the team that took the field for most of last year.
Unlike last year, the Buccaneers actually had a solid running attack and recorded a combined 108 yards out of their running backs, which included a 75-yard day out of Ronald Jones. Jones was a highly-touted rookie running back last year that did nothing, so Buc fans are happy to see him get going.
And while the Bucs allowed 31 points, the defense was great, only allowing one offensive touchdown and 256 yards, which was less than the Buccaneers had.
That is usually enough to at least lose a close game but that was not the case for the Bucs, as Jamies Winston had an awful game. Winston threw three interceptions, two of which were taken back for a touchdown.
It might not be fair to use one game to value a player, but this is more than just one game for Winston. This has been a trend for the quarterback.
With a good defense and a decent running game, the Bucs should absolutely not be taken lightly as they could beat the Saints. However, there will come a moment where Jameis Winston has to beat them, and that is where the ultimate problem lies.
