Brandon Ingram was one of the key pieces that were traded to the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis and has the most important year of his career in 2019.

The New Orleans Pelicans received three players — Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart — for Anthony Davis along with a slew of draft capital that was then flipped into more and more. It is safe to say that the Pelicans got a good return for Davis.

With the luck of getting Zion Williamson mixed with the other young players, the Pelicans are one of the most young and exciting teams in the league this season. It is hard to do that when losing a top-five-caliber guy, but the Pelicans did just that.

Of the three players that the Pelicans received from Los Angeles, Brandon Ingram is the best right now. He is a year further along in his development than Ball or Hart and has shown some promising flashes here and there.

However, he is also dealing with Deep Venous Thrombosis (blood clots). And while it was reported in March after his surgery that he is expected to make a full recovery, there is always worries that it could resurface later down the road.

Aside from that, there is a lot of promise and upside in Brandon Ingram. With him entering restricted free agency after this year, the potential leap that he makes will be one of the most exciting things to watch in the NBA this season.

We definitely will be watching and here are our three bold predictions for what Ingram’s 2019 may look like.
