2. How the offensive line hold up against elite defensive linemen

While the Saints might not have one of the best defenses in the league, they certainly have one of the best offensive lines in the league. You could make the case for the Saints having the best offensive line in the league and that was on full display in Week 1.

Drew Brees really was not pressured all that much in the contest. He was sacked just one time, which is right on par for how often he has been sacked in the last few years. Most importantly, the offensive line completely neutralized J.J. Watt, who did nothing in this game at all.

We know that the Saints are not going to have a terrible time against good defensive lines and that is the last thing I want to convey. However, this week will show us how good they really can be or if they will look more human against elite defenders.

The big test is obviously Aaron Donald but Michael Brockers and Dante Fowler Jr. are no joke alongside him, either. All the pressure being on Donald only creates more opportunity for those two to shine.

This is important as on the NFC side of things the Saints are going to have to come against some good defensive lines. The Rams have Donald, the Philadelphia Eagles have a deep, talented line, the Chicago Bears are great with Khalil Mack and the Dallas Cowboys are solid.

That is what makes the Saints’ offensive line such a difference-maker this season for them.
