New Orleans Saints: All the ugly takeaways from loss to Rams

The New Orleans Saints were unable to get vengeance on the Los Angeles Rams from the NFC Championship Game and fell 27-9 in LA.

The New Orleans Saints matchup with the Los Angeles Rams was the most anticipated game of the Week 2 NFL slate. Not only was it a highly-anticipated rematch from the NFC Championship, but it also served as a potential preview to this year’s NFC Championship as both teams are still elite.

Now, the Saints are hoping that they can take the same path that the Rams did last season and lose to them in the regular season only to get their revenge in the playoffs, just like the Rams did. Out of all three of those games, though, this was the highest-margin of victory as the Saints lost 27-9.

There are natural built-in reasons why the Saints lost that we will get to soon. However, while there is an obvious storyline and reason for this loss, that was not the only thing the Saints did bad on Sunday.

In fact, there are very few positive takeaways from this game and instead, the game left us with nothing but a bad taste in our mouths. Some things get blown out of proportion while some are absolutely fair.
